This is a great list. I haven't had much time for it lately, but have run into more difficulty finding the nearest lineage, rather than the past. I have lots of older info on the main lines. Broutin, Rochon, Cailleteau, and Pellerin But the 20th century marriages of cousins are not connecting so well. I am stuck on the lines around 1900 for: Family #1: Rosa Broutin m. Grisai, Ceasar (violin-cellist with Fr. Opera) 2/20/1884, had 1 dtr: Hadee (m. Fernand Geoffray, musician) = maybe had Rudolph, Adrien, Eustan and Emaze, (maybe not). My father met Adrien Geoffray in NO - maybe the Lake District - in the mid-fifties, "living with his father's sister", but we lost him again. 3 sons: Robert ( leader of Cosmopolitan Orchestra) m. Helen ? = ? children Barthelemy Edouard (musician with Robert) m. Alice Maillet = ? children. They died in Newark, NJ. Sidney ? Family #2 Norma Josephine Broutin, b. 1857 m. David K. O'Brien 6/30/1887 ( no info at all on O'Brien but marriage records = b. 1839) known children: David, born 1/1887, before marriage, died 10/5/1887 Louis Broutin, 3/14/1888 - nothing, but could have lived in Harrison, MS in 1918 re Draft Card. Norma died 2/3/1917 in Biloxi, MS, with a good obit stating her husband was Charles Roche leaving a son, Victor (b. New Orleans in 1892 - see below) and "little Evelyn". The 1910 census has her in Biloxi with "Louis Roche", a boarder Elizabeth, and Evelyn, 3 years old. Norma was born in 1857, so it's possible she could have had another child in 1907, but not likely. It could have been Louis' child, and he may not have been around for some reason - thus the sympathy. Speculation is dangerous! Victor, an oysterman on the 1920 census, died in Biloxi 3/1973, husband of Corinne Skinner + 3 children, Lucille, Hubert Charles and Lilly. I never see these names anywhere. I am looking for anything on these families - some of them would surely be alive now! And someone listed Maillet - the above Alice is all I know, and that's not much! Thanks for all you do, listers!
