    3. Thank you, Norm for all those links for pictures and maps Of New Orleans. You are the best! I appreciate all the information you generously share with this list. As far as the 35 Galvez St address goes, all I have is on an 1864 death certificate for Paul Nicholas Emery, age 9, listed as Paul (etc) SULPICE on NOLA death list. Frederick Sulpice (my gg grandfather) came to America ca 1860. His Dec. 1900 death cert. lists him as native of NOLA 40 years. He married Therese Caroline 'Blanche' (nee 5 B* names!) (widow of Emil Emery) probably between 1860-1864. So it seems that when Paul died the family was living on Galvez ST. but I do not know if it was North or South Galvez. Blanche's first husband was Emil Emery and I found where they came into New York. He was a teacher. I have found a lot of info on Sulpice family in NOLA. Can't find the connection between Victor Eugene Sulpice and Frederick Louis Sulpice b. August 1839 in Paris. Victor Eugene was part of Mardi Gras preparations committee. Frederick was a member of Firemen Association and Knights of Pythias. I also tried changing the Sulpice to Lulpice and that worked. Picked up another tidbit. Now I want to run the name with a T.......because I notice how much the S looks like a fancy T in some of the documents. And my wonderful hubby wonders how I can possible be having fun finding dead people at three am! Carol Florida
