I copied only the men from Louisiana, there were many others from various states if your interested. ARIZONA US GENWEB ARCHIVES WWII ROSTER - U.S.S. BOSQUE (APA-135) Contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Jerry Cutts cutts_rsrch@yahoo.com While researching some of my grandfather's World War II belongings, I ran across a 13-page type-written "book" that was given to him while serving on the U.S.S. BOSQUE (APA-135). The U.S.S. BOSQUE (APA-135), a member of the Pacific Fleet, was commissioned on December 19, 1944 in San Pedro, CA. It departed San Diego, CA on February 9, 1945 and returned from the war on November 10, 1945. Carrying cargo, supplies, troops, and reinforcements, the ship anchored in locations such as Pearl Harbor, Marshall Islands, Guam, Caroline Islands, Phillipine Islands, among others. She, along with the convoy, was under Japanese attack in Okinawa, Japan, and was among the ships in Tokyo Harbor during the Japanese surrender ceremony. Within this book is a roster of the heroic 49 officers and 457 crew members, map and diary of their tour in the Pacific theatre of World War II, hand-written signatures, and drawings by A. M. Shackleford, MoMM1c. With the exception of a few city names, I have transcribed the information "as is" If you are interested in a copy of the book, please contact me via email at cutts_rsrch@yahoo.com ROSTER OF CREW OF THE U.S.S.
