While searching for a GAIENNIE for a "sorta" cousin, I found in the 1850 Census the following Louisiana males attending Mount St. Mary College in Frederick, Maryland. Most are listed as a student of Div. (Divinity) and the following seems to indicate that it was a college for Jesuits. The GAIENNIE I was searching for seems to have disappeared after this, until just before he died in 1867-1868. If you are missing an ancestor, this may well be where they disappeared to. I am only listing some of the students. All are listed as "Students of Div."
