I've been examining the N.O. family trees posted on Ancestry.com I note that many of the people who are listed on the NOVA birth indexes are described in these trees as having been born in New Orleans, Jefferson, LA. I thought the indices were New Orleans, Orleans Parish, LA. How does one distinguish between births in Jefferson and births in Orleans?
