I plan on donating my Achee genealogy research to the Louisana State Archives and my Derbes & Gilly resarch to the Williams Research Center in the French Quarters. I have left instructions to my family as I know none of my children are interested. I'll donate some of my books to a a local research library, but the rest...I m putting on disk, so if the hard copies get thrown out, at least there will be a record if some elusive descendant wants to take up the quest. Or, I could tie my kids' inheritance to keeping all of my stuff. Whatever you decide to do with your work when you go to join your sometimes elusive ancestors - put your wishes in your will - who gets what & where you want it to go. People will not always remember the smaller (to them) things.
