Jan - The info I have is for homicide rots & apparently from NOPL. They also have coroner's inquests & "views" which were sometimes done rather than a full-blown inquest. The info needed (yrs the library has, numbers, etc) can be found on their website. Having an exact date, you could check it out and see if they can help. Another thing the library may have (that I don't) is a reference on obtaining police reports. Sorry I didn't have the info I thought I did.
