    3. Thanks, Pat; that is the one I was looking at. But, alas, it's not the right girl. I am looking for a Bridget Salter/Salzer [her maiden name] who was born about that time [1820-ish] who married John Gordon. SO close . . . .but it won't work. . . On the N.O. marriage certificate for my ggrandfather Patrick Gordon, born in Ireland, he lists his parents as John Gordon and Bridget Salzer. Bridget may have been born in Ireland, or England. I was looking for Salter because Salzer sounds more German than English or Irish . . . I thought it could be a misspelling on the document. But I can't find Bridget Salzer either [and Bridget doesn't sound German]. Any thoughts or ideas most welcome!
