Dee, I need your advise. Before Katrina I helped an African-American family in St Bernard Parish with their genealogy. They were sure their ancesters/relatives were buried in Merrick Cemetery in Violet. A search of the cemetery found most tombs/stones had no names, and I could not find anyone with with any kind of list. I have gleaned lots of burials for Merrick in the Times Picayune with the help of Genealogybank and wonder where would the best place to put this list for use for others doing their own research. Thanks Sally
I would put them under cemeteries on St Bernard Parish pages, or if you have the obit we could put them on Orleans under obits. -------------------------------------------------- From: "Sally Viada" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, October 19, 2010 2:25 PM To: "laorleans" <[email protected]> Subject: [LAORLEAN] Dee > Dee, > > I need your advise. > > Before Katrina I helped an African-American family in St Bernard Parish > with > their genealogy. > > They were sure their ancesters/relatives were buried in Merrick Cemetery > in > Violet. > > > A search of the cemetery found most tombs/stones had no names, and I could > not > find anyone with > > > with any kind of list. > > I have gleaned lots of burials for Merrick in the Times Picayune with the > help > of Genealogybank and wonder > > > where would the best place to put this list for use for others doing their > own > research. > > Thanks > > Sally > > > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message >
