I found these documents through Ancestry.com. YOUR comment was very interesting about maybe not having to make declarations that early. My H. E. Lehmann came to NO by 1836 from Berlin, Prussia and I have searched for his immigration record with no luck. Please tell me where you were able to find these naturalization records. Are they by chance on-line? Or did the court house mail you these records? And how long a period of time was allowed before they were supposed to make this declaration?
