Hi, I have 2 citations that I had wanted to get from St. Bernard or so I thought. I called them and they directed me to Plaquemines. Called Plaquemines and they said they don't have them. Each parish says that the court numbers listed are not their court numbers. So.... where to go now? Do you think the lady at St. Bernard made and mistake and they really do have them? I can't send for the records until I speak with them first to figure out how much I will owe. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. It's been a while since I put them in L'Heritage, and I lost all of my books in Katrina. If I could see the page I would be sure. All I can say is if it is what I remember, I sat in the records room in St Bernard Parish clerk of courts many a days and copied the information from huge docket books.  The room was down a few steps from first floor. Since Katina put  7 feet or more of water over the entire parish for over two weeks, the books may have been damaged.  If that's the case, I wish they would just say so. St. Bernard and Plaquemines Parish intermingled so much in those early days. I think Plaquemines is now the 25th. But the books were in St Bernard !! Now I am curious as to what is going on.
