    2. In a message dated 4/3/2008 2:14:09 PM Pacific Daylight Time, chamoo@cox.net writes: Bonjour, Hi, Voici un complément d'information sur Guillaume Trahan au cas ou vous seriez intéressée, bien à vous très cordialement, Here is some information about Guillaume Trahan in case you are interested. Best regards, Marie-Christine Chaillou ( membre AGCF en Charente-Maritime près de Brouage ) Marie-Christine Chaillou (member of AGCF in the Department of Charente-Maritime, close to Brouage) Guillaume TRAHAN est originaire de MONTREUIL-BELLAY (ANJOU) né vers 1600, de la paroisse Saint-Pierre, fils de Nicolas TRAHAN et Renée DESLOGES (plusieurs actes sont visibles dans les archives Bms). Guillaume Trahan was born in Montreuil-Bellay (Region of Anjou), around 1600, in the parish of St. Pierre. He was the son of Nicholas Trahan and Renee Desloges (many of these records are available through the Archives of Bms). He married Francoise Corbineau on the 13 July 1627, in Chinon (region of St. Etienne) in Touraine. Afterwards he lived in Bourueil in the region of Anjou, parish of St. Germaine, near the chateau of Razilly. This was the farm of Claude and Isaac de Razilly who employed Guillaume Trahan and Pierre Martin for [l'Acadie], on 1 April 1636. Guillaume and Francoise's daughter Jeanne was the future wife of Jacques Bourgeois, one of the pioneers of Acadiana, who left on the ship St. Francoise from La Rochelle 7 May 1641, a vessel owned by Razilly. These authenticated documents were discovered by Jean-Marie Germe, who oranized the 350th anniversary celebration of Bourueil, Chinon and Montreuil-Bellay on 12-13 July 1987, with a group including Marcel Trahan of Montreuil, and the Trahans of France who discovered the Acadienne Line (Archiny/Cenan/Saint-Pierre-de-Maille). Their research includes only Trahan ancestors and descendents. Might have a match in the 1880 census Boston, MA - right name, age, occupation - not living with relatives. Was in Massachusetts by 1889 when she married Rufus Preble. 2. Norm Hellmers
    3. Cheramie, The records of the Girod Street Cemetery (1817-1930) are on microfilm, indexed by the WPA. These are available through any Family History Center. See this info: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?display=titlefilmnotes&columns=*%2C0%2C0&titleno=246173&disp=Girod+Street+Cemetery+records%2C+1817-++ or http://tinyurl.com/25hr75 These records apparently include a combination of the information found on headstones and data from the original records. 1. Re: [LAORLEAN] Edouard Treme --son of Claude Treme
    2. Lynette Vinet
    3. Someone sent me the succession info (or rather inventory information) on CDrom for Julie Treme. Most of it is almost unreadable, the pages are very, very dark. The inventory was copied from the microfilm at the FHL in Utah but the NOPL should have a copy of it, too. Hopefully they have a clearer, more readable copy. Or the Family History Centers would be able to order a copy of the microfilm. --- Wilson <redhangar@charter.net> wrote: > Please keep the info online.
