    1. Snowdon, Brian: Introduction
    2. Brian Snowdon
    3. Yvon and list, I'm Brian Eugene Snowdon. My interest in the LANGLOIS list is because of my grandmother on my mother's side - Marie Elaine Langlais (spelt with an 'a'). She was born February 2nd, 1907 and married Eugene (where I got my middle name) Hilaire GAGNON on July 21st, 1923 in Drummond, New Brunswick. I took the family to see her this past summer in Grand Falls, New Brunswick and promised (God willing) we'd be at her 100th birthday party. I have found a fair amount of information on the GAGNON family through online research and from my grandfather's brother (Catholic priest). I'm only starting to research the LANGLAIS/LANGLOIS side and have very little: Marie's parents were Belone LANGLAIS and Emma DEVOST (married June 29th, 1903); Belone being a son of Severin LANGLAIS and Delina RIOUX. My mother's parents were very religious Catholics and traditional acadian French. Grandmother insists her family were Loyalists. I'm looking forward to sorting this out. On my Father's side, I'm interested in SNOWDON and AMOS from the Sackville, New Brunswick area. Thanks to tremendous work done by others already regarding my SNOWDON line, I'm focussing on AMOS. Thanks to George (probably a member of this list) who has provided, off list, a brief lesson in the derivation of the LANGLOIS name. Any possible connections? Brian

    1. Aavang, Michele Introduction
    2. Michele Aavang
    3. Hello Yvon and list, My name is Michele Aavang and I live outside of Woodstock, IL. My father is Leon Frederick Langlois b. 1933 in CA, the son of Leo T. Langlois. Leo was breifly married to my grandmother, Ethel M. Ruark. The marriage took place in Los Angeles Co., CA but Leo gave his residence as Seattle, WA. The marriage certificate lists his occupation as "painter", and his parents as Joseph Langlois and Nellie McCarthy, both born in Canada. An internet source gives Leon Langlois and Eleonore Milette as the parents of Joseph, and Thomas McCarthy and Annie Lagreve as the parents of Nellie, but I've been unable to verify. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Michele
