Landry, 76, of Cottonwood Avenue died Wednesday at the Lakes Region General Hospital. He was born in Laconia, the son of Elie and Mary (Gagnon) Landry. He was a lifelong resident of Laconia. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as office manager at J.H. Valliere Co. for 52 years, retiring in 1997. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. He was a member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks No. 876 and the American Radio Relay League; and was a licensed amateur ham radio operator with the call sign K1VSS. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jacqueline (Houle) Landry of Laconia; three daughters, Donna Landry of Laconia, Carol Reinschmidt of Hollis, and Janice Field of Sparks, Nev.; two sisters, Evelyn Persons and Edna Barton, both of Laconia; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Raymond Landry and Arthur Landry, and a sister, Dot Levasseur, died previously. Calling hours will not be held. A Mass of Chirs! tian burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Laconia. The Rev. Adrian Longchamps, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Laconia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Community Health & Hospice, 780 N. Main St., Laconia 03246; or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105-1942. Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, Laconia, is in charge of the arrangements.
