The purpose of looking through the book(They actually have genealogy days where you can browse the books. While browsing, you will see other family names(like maternal side, brothers and sisters, cousins,etc) I wrote all the names that applied to me(last names), and I wrote all those who had the same last name, but I don't know if these people are related. You can call City hall and if the know the year or approx. year, they will look them up, make a certified copy, and mail to you.
