Henry Dewey, a sea captain who was drowned in a storm in Galveston Bay. Does anybody have information on a big storm in Galveston Bay, or on Capt. Henry Dewey? Both couples named their children similar names, causing some confusion to researchers. It was necessary to get succession records for both couples to determine the correct family members of each. The Joseph Landry who married Marie-Anne Melancon was born to Firmin Landry and Elizabeth Francoise Thibodeaux, in 1753.
