Hi Andy: Maybe you'd like to clarify the dates below....you say David was born in 17"8"1 and married in 17"9"1?? I show a David Landes in my tree born 26 April 1781 but he married Elizabeth Herman on 04 April 1808. Don't have place of birth or marriage but if this is your David, he is the son of Christian LANDES and Mariah BIXLER and is a half brother to my ancestor, John LANDES. They were in York County, PA and the Father, Christian, died there in 1782. Love to hear from you if you have more. Probably not your ancestor but had to write just in case!!!
