Just read your message on the LANDIS-L list. I believe you will find that very dedicated genealogists from "many" years ago have identified the Christian LANDES who arrived 1736 on the ship HARLE as part of the York County, PA (Windsor Township) LANDES family of which I descend from....Christian (1728 - 1782). It is thought that Christian on the Ship Harle could be my Christian's Father. Is anyone else on the list descended from the York County LANDES family. My Christian died 17 January 1782 in York County, Windsor Township, PA. It is also "thought" that these LANDES' descend from the Lancaster LANDES family. Here's a short outline of Christian's family....Love to hear from you....Jan Lund Descendants of Christian Landes 1 Christian Landes 1728 - 1782 b: Abt. 1728 in Europe d: 17 January 1782 in Windsor Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania .. +Barbara Strickler 1720 - 1758 b: Abt. 1720 d: Abt. 1758 ........ 2 Barbara Landes - 1822 b: in Windsor Twp., York Co., PA. d: 24 December 1822 ............ +Stephen Landes ........ 2 Christian Landes ............ +Elizabeth (Landes) ........ 2 Magdalena Landes 1751 - 1804 b: 25 September 1751 in Windsor Twp., York Co., PA. d: 02 September 1804 ............ +Henry Strickler 1746 - 1835 b: 24 June 1746 d: 07 March 1835 ........ 2 John Landes, Sr. 1752 - 1819 b: Abt. 1752 in Windsor Twp., York Co., PA. d: 1819 in Augusta County, Virginia ............ +Catherine Miller 1750 - 1834 b: Abt. 1750 in York County, Pennsylvania d: 1834 in Augusta County, Virginia m: Abt. 1770 in York Co., PA. ........ 2 Samuel F.
