Stacie; Yes, it was ment to be 1787. My Jacob may have been from Lehigh or Bucks County. There was a Joseph Landis in Darke County who purchased land in Darke County in 1820. He died in 1824 leaving no heirs and the land reverted to his father Michael Landis in Lehigh County. When I sent for my ggg grandfather Jacob's will the paperwork for this sale was mixed into a civil case which had been filed by one of Jacob's son-in-laws. My Jacob was in Ohio as earily as 1814 and purchased land in Pickaway County OH in 1818. Then sold this land and moved to Darke County in 1828.
