I am looking for any more information regarding Johannes Landes/Landis and Esther Wise. Johannes was born about 1789 and died in the 1860s in Augusta Co., Virginia. My maternal Grandmother is a Landis and her family was part of the Mennonite Community in the Augusta Co. area around or in Weyer's Cave, Virginia. Her paternal Grandfather was something like a Deacon in his local church. Somehow Johannes is her GGGGGrandfather or near that. I would like to know if any one has information or can direct me toward the information as to where he was born and who his parents might be. Also, any help with Esther would be grateful. Thanks!
