David Landis b. PA. 1831 has a father at last !! He was not dropped by the Martians. Thanks to my hunch that surnames by marriage many times use the same cemetery; and, the wonderful work that Mark Affinito does with his computerized burial lists at the Monongahela Cemetery at Monongahela, PA, I found my g,g,grandparents David Landis b. February 12, 1831; d. May 29 , 1906 and Sarah E. Kennedy b. March 31, 1842; d. October 2, 1918. I just got back their Death Certificates from New Castle, PA. David's father was Joseph Landis of Penna. Unfortunately, the mother's name is unknown. Sarah E. Kennedy's parents were James Kennedy of PA and Margaret Smith of PA. David was living in Allegheny Co. at the time of his death and Sarah E. was living in Monongahela at the time of her death. In 1866, they lived in Worthington, PA which was when and where my g,grandmother Ida May (Landis) Barringer was born. Please, does anyone on the list have a Joseph Landis? I want to find some Landis relatives. I feel like a lonely petunia in the Landis Patch.
