Additional names have been confirmed and added to the Jewsbury, Landiss, Lenhardt and Olsen genealogies at http://www.landiss.com/family/ Look also for some photographs I finally scanned and cropped, including my great-great-grandfather William Henderson Landiss. Keep sending me details when you find them -- many of you to whom this is being sent have been significant contributors to these family trees. Thanks to all and Happy Holidays! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dan Landiss <mailto:dan@landiss.com> St. Louis, MO <http://www.landiss.com> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would like suggestions of what the group thinks I should do pertaining to the abusive & obscene emails, I think the best way is to post past abuser's.... Starting new at the first of course.. I wanted to respond to Jeffrey's email and let the new ones know more about my site.. on my site all verification is up to the person researching. I gather the info ..put it on my site...if it is what you need then you should verify the info...regardless I think you should verify... I just post... Now on my line directly I can verify for anyone that asks......except for my gfather's birth and death as they didn't record births in Missouri when he was born and I have no idea where he died... most of my info I have gathered from the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society, Ancestry.com, and from my own research in Ohio and Tennessee Libraries....I put no stock into the family search.org..even though it is a LDS site. I as well as other more accredited genealogist's and librarians have found to many errors in their site to want to delve into the info they give. the number one rule regardless where you get the info is VERIFY 8-) Stacie ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Sweet Potato's Genealogy Page! http://homepages.go.com/~stacie_lea/index.htm ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Get paid to surf the web: it really works.... http://www.alladvantage.com/home.asp?refid=faq381 ***Please use my member # as your referral # faq381*** ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Good Morning, I have been overwhelmed by all of the emails and wanted to let you know that you ALL are right...I shouldn't let one bad apple ruin the pie....and the bad apples I should let everyone know about..so this is what I have decided...I will leave the website up...of course it won't be back up till the first as I am adding and repairing info...I will list on the main page all the "bad apples with their email addresses" to deter any others that may be as rude and disrespectfull.... I hope that everyone will like the new layout..and find the info that they need that I have added and will be adding in the next couple days. until then MERRY CHRISTMAS Stacie Sweet Potato's Genealogy Page http://homepages.go.com/~stacie_lea/index.htm onionring@blomand.net
I was looking through all the queries on Ancestry's message board, seeing what was new that I haven't seen and what may have been "solved" and noticed a few mentions about the website and thought it was only right to let you know what is going on. I just went through a terrible move and along with that alot of abusive emails because I couldn't help some people with their lookups..(which I have blocked from recieving their emails. I can't help if info isn't listed in the books.) I guess it all starting piling up...alot of requested lookups and very few thanks. So I have been seriously considering taking the site down. So for now...Sweet Potato's Genealogy Site http://homepages.go.com/~stacie_lea/index.htm is temporarily shut down until I decide what to do. If I decide to continue the site will be back up as of the first of the year.. Until then,,,thank you to the ones that have been supportive , have a wonderful holiday season and may God bless you and your families in the coming millenium. Stacie

Several LANDISS, LENHARDT, JEWSBURY and OLSEN individuals have been added to the trees indexed at http://www.landiss.com/family/ Please pardon me if you receive multiple copies of this, I wanted to make sure several active genealogists got it even if the usual mailing lists are down -- which often happens<G>! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dan Landiss <mailto:dan@landiss.com> St. Louis, MO <http://www.landiss.com> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
