Hi, Several days ago, I posted a query about my g-grandfather, Joseph Landis, born August 18, 1853 in Montgomery County, OH. Died June 7, 1945. I got a couple of nice notes from people with suggestions, and want to thank them. Since that time, I discovered an old photo with a note on it, "Grandpa Landis' sister, Lydia Duncan" and I think she was Joseph's sister. If anyone comes across any Landises who have a Joseph the right age and a Lydia, I would appreciate hearing from them. Unfortunately, I have nothing else on Lydia, like a date of birth, etc. Thanks again. Dixie Landis Bradley

Well, a major update has been made to the Landiss (Landers/Landis), Lenhardt, Olsen and Jewsbury family trees at: http://www.landiss.com/family/ Several previous errors have been corrected (but I'm sure many remain -- send me corrections!). Many historical (hysterical?) photos have been added, mostly linked from the report page for that individual instead of being listed on the main index. To go straight to the photos (bypassing the descendants' reports) go to: http://www.landiss.com/family/images/ There are still questions about the most likely spelling for some of the names. I'm ready to review suggestions for those that are in doubt. Something over 3000 people are now in this data base, so send me corrections for the errors you find. Thanks! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dan Landiss <mailto:dan@landiss.com> St. Louis, MO <http://www.landiss.com> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Data given me by Casey Landis, a descendant of that line, indicates that the sons of Robert Franklin Landis (1849-1899) and Mollie Thompson (1850-1912) were: William Alvis Landis (1874-1947) George Benjamin Landis (1877-1960) Bryant Ewing Landis (1881-1955) Robert Clarence Landis (1883-?) Spencer Norrie Landis (1887-?) Oscar Bell Cecil Landis (1891-?) However, the report is still quite valuable because it confirms some other relations present in the data base. Thank you again for making it available! "Dr. J. A. Landis" would be James Augustine Landis (1845-1921), son of Bryant Landis (1815-1890) and Margaret Ogilvie (1811-1886). "Mrs. Nannie Landis Rushing" would be Nancy Jane Landis (1839-1910), daughter of Bryant and Margaret (above), who married William Azariah Rushing (1841-?). ********************************************* That team performs best whose players benefit the most from the team's success. *********************************************

Splendid! The "Bryant Landiss" was b1815-d1890, and his wife was "Margaret Ogilvie". "W. H. Landis" is "William Harrison (1841-1915)". "G. L." is "George Leonard", and the first daughter is probably Alice, not Alia. I'll get on op of the rest of these soon, and update www.landiss.com/family accordingly. Thanks, as always, for your help! There is also a web page online about the Landis Farm Museum. Does anybody know anything about that museum? I don't remember the URL for it? I would like to know whether there is a connection between the museum and my ancestors. Patricia
Added more pages to Sweet Potato's...I think i will slow down on emailing the lists this reminder..I try to add at least a few new pages daily...give or take on the weekend of course. so when you visit refresh every time or you may get a cached version..
