Just a thought that there are different dialects for different areas too. A friend did a dissertation for this and it seems that the Over Wyre dialect, as in Pilling, Preesall, Out Rawcliffe etc, is similar to another inland area, not sure which, cannot remember, and differs from the words used by Preston folks.
