Ian Dry bread, now what naughty deed have you done? Last night I did not dream of food, which was a surprise, no feathers, pillow made of foam. Just going through the past few emails. Still loving all this. Round and round the garden like a teddy bear. My daughter and daughter in law did this with their little ones. Little kiddies love these silly tickly rhymes. When I see our Alison I will tell her of all these sayings. (my daughter, hence our!) I remember slacks being a name for trousers. I like the sawdust snippet too. I don`t really believe Eileen`s story about the mints, I think she is kidding us of the amount that she keeps for herself. One bag for Eileen and one bag to share, more like!!! Only joking, of course. Oh, boy, could I drink a bottle of Steri now. I still love the taste. I know some people do hate it. If you had said yedwortch or bellywortch I could have understood that. How about - I`ll knock yer block off. I must have missed one - jubbly? Go on, put me out of my misery. At one of the Family History Dinners a few years ago the Speaker was someone who had written some dialect books, maybe he had not exactly written them, could have collected them, but I will try and find out more. Veronica, can you please send me the name of the book please? Anyone remember making things out of hankies and also hand things, here`s the Church and here`s the Steeple type of thing, and a hankie made into a cracker and then you could pull it. My Grandad used to do these to keep me quiet in Church. Olive
