George HOW (Born circa 1802 in Ireland) died March 20, 1870 at Row of Trees, Chorley, Lancashire, UK. He was buried March 24, 1870 at St. John, Manchester, Lancashire, UK. His Estate, which was Probated April 5 1870 at Chester, Cheshire, UK names his widow, Jane (nee Hodkinson) as one of the Executors. Although I think St. John's Church was demolished many years ago, I'm wondering if a graveyard remains and, if so, whether there are grave monuments there that might include one for Mr. HOW. His wife, his son, George William HOW, his married daughter, Elizabeth Jane WHALLEY and her husband, Andrew WHALLEY are all buried at Southern Cemetery but another son, James HOW (Born circa Q1 1844 in Manchester) is not with them and it is he that I am particularly interested in finding. James married Mary ASTLE on November 25, 1875 at St. Gabriel, Hulme, Lancashire, UK. Mike G, Oakville, Canada
Hi Mike, I think you will find that is Row - of - Trees, Alderley Edge, Cheshire. If you use use Google Maps https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wl and search for Row - of - Trees, Alderley Edge, Cheshire East, United Kingdom you will find it. If you zoom out once you will see Row - of - Trees marked. Zoom in again and use the peg man on the left to "walk" up the road and you will find Chorley Village Hall on the north side of the road. Note if you look for Chorley, Cheshire you will find yet another Chorley! Hope this helps, Christine >-----Original Message----- >From: Michael B.
