Cheadle Saint Mary's Burials. A sad little episode - the following are buried at St Mary's, Cheadle in the same grave: No. 16/43. August 1837 Edward Furbisher aged 2 months June 24th 1842 William Furbisher 10 days July 10th 1842 Jane Furbisher 36 years The abode of both Wm and Jane was given as Oldham. I don't have the details for Edward. Copy of the records for Wm and Jane are attached - they were on the same page of the register as you will see. Cheadle is a little over 10 miles from Oldham . As I visit Cheadle quite frequently I shall have a look around the grave yard and take a photograph of the grave....IF I can find it. Experience has taught me that searching for graves can be a disappointment, sometimes they have disappeared, the stone has been removed or it is unreadable etc. However, I shall try and either send you a picture or explain why i have not .
