    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: valhollings13 Surnames: White, Wilson Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.england.lan.general/52530/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am trying to find any information I can regarding Jane White. She married my 3 x gt grandfather Thomas Wilson in 1839 at Manchester Cathedral. Mike, Manchester Cathedral Archivist has very kindly furnished me with a great deal of information from 1839 onwards but couldn't find anything before then. The only information I have is that Thomas was a warehouseman and the son of Samuel a Farmer. I have no birthdate or birthplace! Jane White was the daughter of Joseph White a Cordwainer again no place or date of birth (only rough guesses from the census returns!) Any help and I know I am asking the impossible, anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Someone may be able to find something I have missed - hopefully! 1. [LAN] Preston in the 1960s

    3. Is there anyone out there who knew Preston in the 1960s or has access to 1960s or earlier information? Before the town centre was redeveloped and the new road built there was somewhere called Starchhouse Square, somewhere behind Fishergate. It was the bus station for local independent bus operators such as Fishwicks, BBMS and Viking. I need to know the correct spelling. Is it Starchhouse Square or Starch House Square? Google comes up with both. Can anyone solve my problem? Thanks in advance. Dave Fleetwood
