I'm a Titterington. A brief history: My grandfather Edward Titterington was shot in the back and killed by a German sniper during WW1. He was one of the engineers who planted those huge underground mines under the German trenches in order to shorten the war. You can see the story on HISTORY CHANEL. It was immediately after one mission and while retreating to his camp that an enemy sniper shot him in the back. He was 47 year's old. Quite old for such a hard task. He is buried in France.
