Hi Wendy, I have a Charles and Mary FAIRHURST (both 37) on the 1861 census (RG09/2750 f 70 p 45) with a child, Sarah, 6 and Thomas, 3mo., There are, however, two earlier children, Samuel, 10 and William, 8. Charles was born in Billinge, Mary and Samuel in Poole. William, Sarah and Thomas were born in Eccleston. Both Charles and Samuel worked as Labourers at a Glass Works.
