    3. Will it be transferred elsewhere or is it to exist no more. What are these people doing to our heritage. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Lancaster" <lancaster.jim@zen.co.uk> To: "Lynne" <lklein@mindspring.com>; <lancsgen@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, December 08, 2013 11:58 AM Subject: [LAN] Talbot Library, Prerston > > SAD NEWS FROM THE NORTH WEST. 3. This is sad news indeed. I have used the Talbot on several occasions and it is an invaluable resource for family historians containing, as it does, material that simply is not held anywhere else. The staff there were also knowledgeable and eager to help with any query. There must, surely, be some plan to move the stock to another accessible archive - Lancashire Records Office and the Harris immediately spring to mind.
