Bridgewater is where the Bridgewater Canal is - linked leigh to Runcorn and with leeds to liverpool with Manchester ship Canal but even now it doesnt seem to be a place in its own right as it comes under worsley/Eccles - as its small please did tend to have a very strong accent , wonder if it was meant to be Ridge way or something ? even that doesnt make sense thought as there wasnt such a place near there - or Bridge Hay / I can only think of it as Bridgewater - sorry cant help further Andrea Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
