He was born at about (that's very about) 1604 in Bury, Lancashire, England. He immigrated to the Massachusetts Colony in the 1630's where he married a Susan Elizabeth Rogers, and had at least 3 daughters and one son, John Atkinson. He died by 1646 in Massachusetts. I also know he had at least 2 brothers, a Theodore, who adopted his son John after he died, and a Robert, supposedly mentioned in some legal paperwork dealing with some property he apparently still had in England. I've located records for the brother Theodore. He was born in about 1612 in Bury, Lancashire, England, and settled in Boston, Massachusetts, where he married an Abigail Chambers, and a Mary Wheelwright, and where he died in 1701. But I haven't found anything on the Robert. All I know is that he supposedly stayed in England, He was probably born in the same Bury, Lancashire, England the other brothers were born in, and that he supposedly lived in a Timby Parish, in Halifax, England. I haven't even been able to locate the Timby Parish. Google Maps doesn't recognize it. I would like help in either tracing the parentage of this Thomas Atkinson, or in locating his brother Robert Atkinson, where there might be clues, because he supposedly never left England.
