I think I may have been looking at the wrong Aice when I sent the original post. The info you have sent is correct. I have the birth cert and as you guessed it does not have a name for the father. I think now Alice was born to John and Elizabeth Wallbank and I'm trying to trace them in census to get more info on the Wallbank line. Many thanks again for the help.
