My Grandma Eveline Wetherall (nee Trotter) was a district midwife. I have been told that she delivered most of the babies in the area and she was very respected in the community. She rode a bike with a basket on the front (as most did!) I would love it if someone remembered her or can give me information on the life of a midwife in Lancashire at the time.
