My brick wall was L'ce Jackson Inn Keeper who appeared on his daughter Elizabeth's marriage certificate. I was partly thrown not knowing if he was Lawrence or Lancelot. After years of accepting him as a brick wall I think I found him last night - in a Pigot's directory 1818 where Lawrence Jackson is shown against the Thatched House Tavern in St Thomas Square, Chorely. When I googled this I found another directory entry for Lawrence in 1824 and then one in 1828-9 but this time with Edmund Jackson.... I wonder if this shows there's a link between the two families. They lived close by, they both had Edmunds and both had inns. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
