Hi Debs, The only Laund I know of is in Pendle. If you ancestors came from Newchurch there is a Newchurch in Rossendale and a Newchurch in Pendle. It does cause a mix up sometimes. I would be interested in the Laund in Rossendale. Thanks to all who share information on this list. Thanks Pauline I appreciate your reply. There was a Laund in Rawtenstall on an old map but it disappeared at some stage. The family definitely all came from Rawtenstall. It certainly makes it difficult when old villages become adsorbed into towns. Thanks again for your interest and reply.
