    3. Hello Shirley, I have this family in the 1841 census. They were living in an area full of small courts. allyways etc. that was west of Smithfield market and south of St Michael's church. I could not locate the exact Court/place/street but moving along the census records gave me Miller street and Bagshaw Court. Both of these I located in an 1840 map. Do you have this census record? I have saved it for you.     3. Found Redfern street and Redfern place not far from the east side of the cathedral. also noticed lots of Shaw's in the cathedral records.
