The 1881 entry showing German-British I believe is the enumerator not being able to read the original entries and should read Guyana - British. In 1871 sophia is at 46 Sefton terrace Princes Road liverpool Widow aged 58 together with Isabella daughter 30 born Georgetown, Anya B daughter 19 born Georgetown, Charlotte A Bagot sister 52 49. Sophia's birthplace is difficult to read but is transcribed as "Bonhulme Norway"!! Anya and Tempe her sisters are transcribed as being born in "Hereste Denen Easequels"!! However in the Royal Gazette 1817 ( www.vc.id.ac/edg/18170419rg.html ) there is reference to "The Hon George Bagot, a second mortgage on his one undivided half of plantation 'T Huis te Dienen situate on the west coast of the river Essequebo.." If you then look at the 1871 Census page then the sisters birthplace "Hereste denen Easequels" should read "House Dienen Essequebo" SIMPLES!!
