    3. That's what I'm not so sure about as it's not something I use much but hopefully somebody more knowledgeable will respond on that. Just wanted to warn you about GR which is becoming increasingly unreliable because of the stuff people post without ever checking it. 3. I have just checked by looking myself up - not a very good example as I have opted out of the printed register for the last 10 years - and it looks as if you can't specify a second name on FMP (but it's only for 2002 -2013 plus an historic Cheshire one) and whilst you can on Ancestry they only have a very limited number of historic electoral rolls available to search. I have just checked GR and they only seem to have electoral rolls for 2002-2013 so again it is obviously little use for historic searching. 192.com also have them and I have just searched for a neighbour using both of his names and he comes up so I would recommend that one if you are looking for modern data. 3. Hi Meg Findmypast and Genesreunited are one and the same company so use the same data but may be presented / searched in slightly differing ways Both get their data from 192.com as far as I know (I would agree with your comment on GR) Despite having an option to search by variant forenames it doesn't work as it should In theory the 2002 - 2013 electoral rolls are available to full UK & worldwide subscriptions (but to the .co.uk site) I have the so called worldwide .com version which does not include the electoral rolls above So for the original poster, you may find a library or LDS FHS has access to it Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 15/01/2014 13:31, Magdalen Galley-Taylor wrote: > I have just checked by looking myself up - not a very good example as I have > opted out of the printed register for the last 10 years - and it looks as if > you can't specify a second name on FMP (but it's only for 2002 -2013 plus an > historic Cheshire one) and whilst you can on Ancestry they only have a very > limited number of historic electoral rolls available to search.
