I will double check but I think I have seen this James GREY before. His father is Thomas Grey and in later censuses his family is different to our James GRAY. Our James, at his wedding in Mar 1871 gave his father as Edward, deceased. Thomas GREY above, was still alive in 1881 ! Unfortunately, this has been a stumbling block for me for 290 years. I have had a little more luck recently in finding a living relative, a second cousin, once removed. We are related through James who was married to Jane. My second cousin has given me Jane's parents and grandparents so we have moved backwards two generations to around 1790. Thank you for your interest and the information. Regards David Gray, now aged 66 living near Oxford. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
