Everyone has a favourite Software for their Family Trees. I for one love Brothers Keeper but you need to buy the registered version to add photos etc. When I import my updated tree from Ancestry into BK via a gedcom the notes, photos etc that I have added to Ancestry will be seen as Url’s that can only be opened in Ancestry and if you do not have a subscription to that you cannot view them. If you find a software that will import all the photo’s and notes that you have added to Ancestry you will be extremely lucky and even luckier if Ancestry gives them to you. I have done years of research and now that I am thinking of leaving Ancestry I will have to add everything again bit by bit into my Brothers Keeper, I doubt very much I will ever get it done again.
