Hi Thank you all so much for your advice, decided to stay with FTM (thanks Phil for your sage words) have backed every thing up and also created gedcom file, so that if and when I need to decide on another programme I can import my information. You are all wonderful Merry Xmas Sue
Don't forget that, if you change any data (add, amend, delete) in your FTM family tree you will need to create a new gedcom before importing to a new database.
