The John in Lincolnshire has been discounted as he killed his wife Sarah so that is not him there were some other details on him that were discovered that did not add up either. As for the one on the electoral roll in Manchester in 1835 I cannot find any evidence that is him either, I think he was a farmer. My John is Carter/Porter labourer! So the search goes on. He languished there until 1848 when he was pardoned. There is also a J BRIERCLIFFE in the electoral roll for Greenwood Street, Manchester Township in 1835.
