It is interesting to see David, that in 1901 Census whilst WILLIAM FREDERICK DRY 43, and family are living at No. 4 Hapsford Rd., Litherland, his Mother ELIZABETH CUBBINS Widow, aged 64 yrs., and MARY DRY, Widow aged 66 yrs., are residing at No. 6. Both born Winsford, Cheshire. These two ladies are bracketed as Sisters.......Perhaps two sisters married two brothers. 1911 Census - In Poulton Cheshire, Alice Annie Dry states married 20 years, in faint writing and 5 children all alive. Thereafter it seems her son takes over the completion of the Census doc. However, perhaps she meant to write 30 years married.....I cannot find a second marriage for William Dry introducing Alice Annie, I think it's one and the same lady. Whether ANNIE WRIGHT who married JOHN WILLIAM DRY in 1880 in Dist. West Derby is one and the same, it seems you may have to buy the Cert. to unravel the mystery. p.s. 1881 WRIGHT Family - Peter Wright, 48 yrs., Car Owner, has lost wife Charlotte, now married to Mary of Ireland, no sign of Annie (1860) found with parents in 1871. However, brother Theodore Wright born 1864 Everton, is still with Father, Peter. As well, in 1911 daughter CHARLOTTE ELIZABETH COULTER nee DRY is also living in Poulton with new husband RICHARD.....Married 28 August 1910 St. Matthew, Bootle. DEATH: Name: Alice A Dry Birth: abt 1861 Death: Sep 1949 - Wallasey, Cheshire, England PROBATE: WILLIAM FREDERICK DRY of Hapsford Rd., Litherland near Liverpool died 29 October 1909 Administration Liverpool 15 November to ALICE ANN DRY, Widow.
