Hi David, Another find for you. Hope this may clear up the name of the Wife of WILLIAM FREDERICK DRY. In 1861 I found the following Family: 25 Back Guildford St., Everton. ELIZABETH McNALLY Head, Widow, 36 yrs., Car Owner from Staffordshire with son JOHN under 7mths., PETER WRIGHT Brother, Mar. 26, Car Owner, wife CHARLOTTE ANN 29 YRS. And Sister in Law, with children CATHERINE WRIGHT 2, ALICE ANN WRIGHT 11 mnths and a Servant. So, it is found that ANNIE WRIGHT in 1871 was also called ALICE ANN WRIGHT in 1861.....and thus resorted to this name in latter years. If indeed she was the ANNIE WRIGHT who married JOHN WILLIAM DRY in 1880, that original M. Certificate is more important. ALICE ANN WRIGHT was Baptised 23 May 1860 and Born 3rd May 1860 to parents Peter and Charlotte Wright of Everton, Car Proprietor. St. Peter, Liverpool.
