Sept 26, 1868 Ange Belle b.abt. 1864 in Herkimer, New York Ida married a great uncle of mine, John J. Dening, sometimes her surname is spelled Leach Notes I have on them: 1900 census of Frankfort, Herkimer County, N.Y. Thomas Leech age64 Angeline Leech age 61 Ida Dening age 32 John J. Dening age 33 Walter L. Dening age 5 1875 census of Frankfort Village, Frankfort, Herkimer County, NY I find: Thomas Leach 39 b. England machinist Angeline 36 b. Jefferson Morris W. 16 b. Jefferson Emma Jane 14 b. Oneida AngeBelle 11 b. Herkimer Ida May 7 b. Herkimer Believe in 1900 census Ida and John were living with her parents- possibly to help them. In 1920 census John 53 and Ida 51 are still living in Frankfort , Herkimer,- address is River Road and he is listed as a machinist in a machine shop.With them now is Angeline Dening age 9 and an Ella Luch boarder- I think this may actually be Ida's sister Ella Leech, she is listed as age 56. By 1930 Ida and John are living alone and it says he works as a machinist at a Road Mach (should be Road Rock) Factory...whatever that means! Now they are living on Main Street Extension. He states his mother was born in Switzerland and father in England. 1940 census they are still living in Frankfort, Herkimer, NY and now in the household are: John J. Dening age 73 machinist- for Road Rock company working 54 hours a week!
