I think that those wills belonging to Lancashire were shipped from Chester to Preston some years ago. This does beg several questions such as - who's got the Probate Act Books? Who filmed what for the wills and where? I'm simply being curious but there are numerous missing wills and it would be infuriating to miss one simply because it's in the wrong place according to my simplistic view of the world.
Well for me Wills are hard enough to find anyway without them being in the wrong place! > On 9 Feb 2016, at 11:26, Adrian Bruce via <[email protected]> wrote: > > I think that those wills belonging to Lancashire were shipped from Chester > to Preston some years ago. And worse still to find them if the originals are lost, index entries show they existed once and LANCAT is down! Oh what fun....
