Hi all Not used rootsweb before but enjoy and have got a lot of help from your emails. I have a large branch of my family called Aspden who lived and worked in the Edgworth and Entwistle area of Blackburn/Bolton. They all belonged to the Old Wesleyan independent church on Horrocks Road in Edgworth. This church was founded in 1800 but closed in 1963. The building and land has is now privately owned and the majority of the graveyard has been removed and made into a house and garden I have got a small amount of information from Preston and Bolton history collections but no one seems to have grave information for my ancestors. I was wondering if anyone could help me. Thanks and regards Audrey
Virginia Aighton has written a book called "About the Jam, Darling : A Soldier's Thoughts on Love and War told through Letters". It is all about the experiences of her parents in WWII, based on her father's letters to her mother. The family is from Accrington, so anyone from that area or generally interested in WWII would enjoy it. If you contact me off list, I can tell you how to obtain it, Marie

Since that time I have actually been able to locate the information on George Ashun, my nieces grandfather. George was a boxer in Liverpool, England. One of his daughters, Margaret, travelled to the USA as a young nanny and eventually married my brother, David C. Jones in California. Two daughters from that marriage and they are residing in California. I have met Margaret's brother in England back in 2007. Where are you located. Maybe we can chat further. Hello Friends, I live in Queensland, Australia and long time researcher [for 28 years] I had almost finished doing research, when I was kindly given a lot of data about my forbears. Catharine Fearon - Abraham Fearon - Elizabeth Reason - Bethnal Green - silkweavers. If there is anyone on any of these lines I am happy to share some of the great things, I have learned in the last couple of years. Catharine Fearon m.15.8.1808 Thomas OWEN, Shoreditch. Daughter Eliza Owen bapt.8.4.1832 Middlesex, m.2.2.1850 William STOKES s/o Joseph STOKES and Dinah SPENCER. All families Silk Weavers Middlesex. I have certificates for all these famlies. Eliza Owen d/o Thomas & Catherine OWEN Shoreditch, St.Leonards. Thomas was a Silk Weaver of Green Swan Street, Middlesex. In 2010/2011, I was given much new data regarding direct ancestry of mine, through Catherine Fearon. I am very grateful to a few people who helped construct a family tree at that time. Fearon:- Found 2010 family of Catharine FEARON w/o Thomas OWEN Silk Weaver. Abrahm Ferron b.24.8.1736 chr.11.9.1736 Savoye De Spring Gardens and Des Gres French Huhuwest, Westminster, to Abraham and Ann Fearon ? Abraham Ferron b.27.9.1742 chr.8.10.1742, St.Anne, Soho, Westminster to Abraham & Ann Fearon. Issue from I.G.I. Marriages and Christenings. Abraham FEARON m.28.9.1768 Elizabeth RESON [Reason] St.Matthews, Bethnal Green, London. Elizabeth REASON born/chr. 4.6.1732 St.Martins in the Field to James & Susanna REASON. Catharine FEARON married Thomas OWEN. Eliza OWEN born to Thomas & Catharine OWEN New Inn Street married William STOKES s/o Dinah and Joseph STOKES. Reference No ef 233789. I have certificates and can share. I now have another job to do, to put this data in a folder of my mother's families - Wilson pianoforte makers, Goldsmiths and silversmiths, along with Stokes/Yates/Haigh/Owen/Spencer and Fearon families. Yates and Haigh from Blackburn and Leeds, while Thwaites Brewery and Duckworth families are also part of this Family. A strange way to retire ! Many Thanks for this opportunity to share...Thelma [Bostock] Birrell of Pialba, Q.
