Might i had that i was given a picture of obury st where you can just see the corner of Lovat st by a sign, but thats as close as i can get. I do have the 1911 census , Theresa was a waitress and boarding with her cousin who is Agnes Boardman, so that info abt Agnes Boardman still living at the same address in 1938 is a bonus. I have come across a marriage that maybe Theresa Clarks its to a William Walton b1886 Liverpool, in 1915 and if this is her then they had one son b 1929 Liverpool, also named William. but i have found out that Theresa and her son William both died in 1940, William the father died 1947. Just wandering if they both died in an air raid ? is it possible to find out ? Thanks again Flo. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. This matches the census record of that year. Kelly's Directory for 1938 has a Mrs Agnes Boardman living there (Lawrence's wife), no mention of occupation or use of property. I've attached a map showing number 11 Lovat Street. I can't find any photos of Lovat Street but there are three photos of the Overbury Street area included amongst the photos here:- http://www.liverpoolpicturebook.com/p/l6-l7.html C Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. He was born, possibly in Lancashire, in about 1862 and married Alice Gregory on 30th Oct 1882 at St Peter's Parish Church in Liverpool. He had a daughter in 1884. His wife had remarried by the 1891 Census and we know that he had died. His father was also John Nield and was a labourer. The only record that I am certain of is his marriage record. I will cross check at the weekend when i get home to look at the BMD Certs then see where I am.. I do recall though Margaret's parents on her certificate were Thomas and Agnes. Mary Agnes Park is something I am considering, but its a collection of names that dont seem to work. I was struggling with that family so much i was even thinking they were from the Russian Orthodox Jews that arrived in that era. A lot changed the name to Benson ( Son of Benjamin ) to make their surnames sound English so they could fit in. However the Margaret Benson that I seem to have was Christened in Manchester Cathedral so i guess it ruled that out.?!? Author: chat1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.england.lan.general/52669.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi Gary - the local site that I used to find those Birth records was:- www.ukbmd.org.uk which if you select the LocalBMD option in the menu and in this instance scroll down to Lancashire and then select Births, Marriages or Deaths as required. If you also include the Mother's maiden name you can then identify those Births with Mother PARK. Having since found Thomas's Marriage to Mary Park then it becomes rather confusing. By the way I totally agree with you regarding The FMP site which I have used since its inception. The latest 'upgrade' is very un-user friendly and in fact some - extremely pertinent information - is no longer available. I have advised them that I will Not be continuing with my annual subscription - but to no avail. Graham Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. This is indeed the correct family that I am researching. The elder Thomas Walsh, the one you show as having been married to Elizabeth Parkinson in 1828, is my 3X great grandfather. His daughter was Mary Walsh, who went on to marry James Bond. The younger Thomas, born in 1833 is Mary's brother and it would appear he took over a fairly large farm. Mary Walsh and James Bond had a son, also named James, born in 1860 in Fleetwood. He had a daughter named Mary Bond in 1885, who is my grandmother, and she emigrated to Canada in 1904. I have been trying to find records about her family for a couple of years now, so it is very nice to have some of these blanks filled in.
